Mr. Black

Ethics Watchdog

Mr. Black is one distinguished gentleman (?gentledog), often found wandering about in the northern edges of the Kathmandu valley. Legend has it that he once fought off a leopard in the forests of the Shivapuri foothills. How did that go, we once asked him. "No big deal”, he said, "the leopard was just a bigger cat, I am the top dog!"

At Arete, Mr. Black is our ethics watchdog (pun intended). He checks up on us every once in a while and reminds us to do the right thing. We have often asked him if he wants to be on our payrolls. Nah, he barks. A free-spirited mountain dog is too cool to care about earning a paycheck!
